Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.
– Is Joseph Gordon-Levitt playing Doctor Strange in Marvel’s upcoming (well, highly rumored to be upcoming) film for the character? That’s what Latino Review wants you to think, but according to Gordon-Levitt’s reps, that is completely untrue. Of course, Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been rumored to take nearly every part ever for every movie, including the as-of-yet not greenlighted biopic David Harper: The Man, The Myth, The Legend (if only because we are equally handsome), but it remains to be seen if this is just defense by his reps or actually them denying what isn’t true.
– Alex Ross draws a poster for Season 4 of The Walking Dead. Shockingly, it’s great.
– “Dear Mr. Watterson,” the Kickstarted documentary about the influence and awesome of the “Calvin & Hobbes” creator, is going to be arriving in theaters November 15th. While it will likely never make it’s way up to the great white north of Alaska (my home) in theaters, I’m terribly envious of all of you who live elsewhere if only because I would watch the living hell out of that.
– SEAN GORDON MURPHY IS SO DAMN GOOD AT COMMISSIONS.
– Dynamite is bringing a lot of big talent over to do books over there, with Peter Milligan writing “Terminal Hero” there next according to Bleeding Cool.
