Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– Artist Norm Breyfogle has been hospitalized after a stroke, but is expected to make a full recovery. Comics Alliance doesn’t just write about it, but uses it as an opportunity to celebrate his work. Good on them.
– “A Batman book for every fan, for every genre.” That’s what Mark Doyle told CBR in an interview about his first year as Group Editor for the Batman line, and good on him for it. Throwing this out there, though: how about a series in the same vein of “Batman: The Animated Series” for all-ages? That’d make him even more of a saint. I recommend reading the whole thing, though. It’s a great read from a great dude.
– 2015’s Eisner Awards judges have been revealed, and they’re a quality mix of knowledgeable comics folk from what the release shares. It’s always good to see a librarian in the mix, in my opinion.
– I’m a big fan of Google Doodles, and seeing Kate Beaton doing one to celebrate Henrietta Edwards for Canada is pretty damn cool. Nice work, Kate!
– James Gunn talks about why Thanos was in “Guardians of the Galaxy”, and the problems that came along with that.
– Vulture shares its 10 favorite comics series of 2014, and they subtitle it “the year feminism conquered comics culture.” It’s an interesting list with an interesting angle, although it feels a bit safe.
