Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.

– After the recent tragedy in Paris, where several teams of terrorists opened fire on the crowd in an Eagles of Death Metal Concert, leaving over 132 people dead, CBS has decided to pull Monday’s episode of Supergirl, airing instead the Thanksgiving themed “Limewire” in its stead. CBS has not announced when they will air “How Does She Do It?”

If you’re interested in helping out the victims of the Paris Terror Attacks, you are encouraged donate to the French Red Cross or Doctors Without Borders.

– Mangaka legend, Kasuhiro Otomo, will be the festival director for the 2016 Angoulême Conference. In addition to that, Otomo will reportedly be delivering a long talk about his career and magnum opus, “Akira,” with publisher Glénat will also be featuring an exhibition in tribute to Otomo, with a bunch of cartoonists paying tribute to his work. If you’re in the Angoulême area in January, this is probably well worth checking out.

– It looks like the upcoming Gambit movie has found a new director: Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Edge of Tomorrow, Mr. & Mrs. Smith). Original director Rupert Wyatt dropped off the project last September due to “creative differences”. The movie still stars Channing Tatum and is still being produced by 20th Century Fox.

– Apparently, DC will bring Neal Adams themed homage covers to comic shelves for their February variants. All these covers are going to be drawn by Neal Adams. Check out the link to see the gallery of Neal Adams paying tribute to himself because no one Neal Adams Neal Adams more than Neal Adams.

– Charles Paul Hoffman proposes a “Sandman” reading order over at Panels, especially now that “Sandman Overture” has concluded. He goes into the ancillary and expanded “Sandman” stuff, and there’s always more to The Dreaming and The Endless than I ever remember. I would, however, say reading “Overture” right before “Brief Lives” would probably make for a satisfying experience. If anything, I think this list reminds us that it’s maybe time to visit “Sandman” again.

– Batman’s next cross-franchise crossover drops on December 9th, as he teams up with The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Dark Knight and the heroes in a half-shell also come bearing a plethora of variant covers from peeps like Cliff Chiang, Nick Dragotta, Kenneth Rocafort, and Mike Allred. You can check out the gallery over here.

– DisneyLand is going all out for when Star Wars hits their park. This preview of the attractions certainly makes a California trip tempting, especially to see the revamped Star Tours and Hyperspace Mountain. For those of us who can’t make it out, we at least have a new string of trailers.

– On Friday, we asked which 2015 film hit your nostalgia spot. 67% of you, the overwhelming majority, declared it to be Star Wars: The Force Awakens (even though it hasn’t come out yet and we’ve only seen a small bit of footage). 17% named Mad Max: Fury Road, which is the best movie of the year and against which all further movies must be judged. 7 gave a nod and a smile to the charming Peanuts Movie, while a couple of you said Jurassic World, which makes sense because Jurassic World spent most of its run time reminding you how great Jurassic Park was. No one, it seems, has a spot for SPECTRE, the new Bond film.

Make sure you check back with us on Friday for our next Weekly Readers’ Poll!

– Finally, in Webcomics Worth Clicking: Jeremy Sorese (“Steven Universe,” “Curveball”) has been participating in the Cartoonists’ Diary series over at The Comics Journal. His week long set of strips examines his experience as a more lowkey gay guy in a larger, louder culture, watching Moonstruck, and thinking about the release of his latest book.
