Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.

– “Seconds,” Bryan Lee O’Malley’s follow-up to his Scott Pilgrim series, has been delayed until 2014 according to The Beat. The reasoning behind the delay is that O’Malley injured his shoulder which impacted his schedule working on this project and others (save for things like his “Young Avengers” #1 variant, the Battle Royale poster I linked to, and various strange tweets). There’s more there and on O’Malley’s Tumblr, but either way, we’re excited as all get out for O’Malley’s latest from Random House.

– We mentioned this the other day, but there’s now more information on it: Mike Carey’s new Boom! Studios creator-owned project is called “Suicide Risk.” There’s plenty over at CBR about the upcoming book featuring art from Elena Casagrande and covers by Tommy Lee Edwards, and it’s worth a read: Carey is always a great interview, and the book sounds pretty damn fantastic if you ask me.

– Zeus Comics, a once upon a time winner of the Eisner for Spirit of Comics Retailer Award, announced yesterday that they will not be carrying the print version of “Adventures of Superman” from DC because of Orson Scott Card’s involvement. They’re the first retailer to officially announce this – likely not the last – and it puts increasing pressure on DC to remove Card from the project. That said, it’s not likely to happen – Card’s name as the creator of Ender’s Game will likely trump any negativity associated with his personal beliefs in terms of sales. But bravo to Zeus for putting their money where their mouth is!

– Have you been reading Valiant’s books since their relaunch? No? Well you’ve been missing out, but perhaps your waiting is going to pay off. Come May, Valiant is going to re-release all five of their #1’s for just $1, or you can get all five in a pack for just $4.95. That’s a screaming deal, and frankly, Valiant is producing something for pretty much everyone. For example, take the Valiant (Re)visions team of Brandon Burpee and myself. His fave is either Bloodshot or Harbinger. Mine is absolutely, positively Archer & Armstrong. We’re both right, and we’re both winners. Become a winner in May!

– File this one under hilarious: Great Falls, Montana TV station KRTV viewers were interrupted with a very real seeming emergency broadcast about the dead rising and attacking the living. This is a real story that really happened. THUS IT IS THE COOLEST THING EVER.

But seriously, watch the video. Amazing.

– File this one under random: MC writer Brandon Burpee shared this article about Iran’s flying boats yesterday, noting that Iran is basically becoming Cobra from G.I. Joe. I have nothing else to say. He’s completely right, and it is completely hilarious. That said, I want a flying boat. Totally badass, and I hear they come with a special edition Storm Shadow figure.

– Finally, here’s Marvel getting drunk and Kieron Gillen looking sad about it.
