– After announcing quite some time ago that Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg were taking a stab at adapting “Preacher” for the small screen, AMC announced today that it has ordered a pilot of the series. Variety reports that the pilot will be produced next summer, making it likely to not debut earlier than 2016. Look for casting rumors to start hitting Bleeding Cool any second.

– We aren’t big on posting rumors on Multiversity, especially when they are single sourced. However, after Bleeding Cool posted today about a potential third installment of Frank Miller’s “Dark Knight Returns,” Comic Book Resources has confirmed that this, indeed, is being discussed. The rumor states that Miller would be co-writing the book, potentially, with Scott Snyder, and tossed out names like Sean Murphy and Mark Silvestri as potential artists. Again, this is just a rumor, but one that appears to have at least a nugget of truth to it.

– The official plot synopsis for the upcoming Fantastic Four film sounds an awful lot like the “Ultimate Fantastic Four” origin. Sadly, the rest of the film (aside from Michael B. Jordan – that dude is dope) sounds like a dumpster fire. The description first popped up on RottenTomatoes.

– Evangeline Lilly said that Edgar Wright’s Ant-Man wouldn’t have fit in, aesthetically, with the other Marvel Studios films. She says this like it is a bad thing, but I think most of us agree that some diversity within those films is not only necessary, but encouraged.

– In a crazy, but crazy like a fox, bit of casting speculation, it appears that Warner Bros are eyeing Oprah Winfrey for the role of Amanda Waller in Suicide Squad. If anyone can pull off a power hungry ladder climber with no real moral conscience, Oprah can do it!

– In what can only be described as “the weirdest fucking variants ever,” Marvel has series of “In” variants celebrating the inaugural college football playoffs. Yup, you read that right. Peep the weirdness at CBR.

– Dan DiDio was on DC: All Access today, and had a few interesting things to say about “Convergence” – the two big reveals were that a) the story has been hinted at since “Challengers of the Unknown,” the DiDio scripted second arc of “DC Universe Presetns,” and b) that many of the pre-“Flashpoint” stories will see some sort of conclusion via the pages of the Week 1 “Convergence” minis.

– Steven Weber, star of Wings and former Hour Cosmic go-to-joke Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, is set to guest star on the CW’s iZombie sometime next year.

– You probably figured it, but now it is official: May 2, 2015 is Free Comic Book Day.

– And, finally, this homemade Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer is like a lost scene from Be Kind Rewind.
