– In very sad news, Sharon Sakai, the wife of “Usagi Yojimbo” creator Stan Sakai, has passed away after a long battle against a brain tumor. The comic industry has done a wonderful job in coming together to support the Sakai family in their time of need, and now it needs to be there for Stan once again. Rest in peace, Sharon.

– After one of its volunteers, in my professional estimation, lost its damn mind in response to the situation in Ferguson, Missouri, Comic Con International ended up letting the person go in response to the copious amounts of anger and upsettedness he caused. It was the right choice to make, and I’m glad they acted quickly.

– Oh, hey, want another look at the upcoming “Agent Carter”? Sure you do.

– For those excited about the next two issues of “Hawkeye”, I’m sorry to say but both of them were pushed back by another month.

– That there is a Darkwing Duck controversy is completely ridiculous, but that it has gotten contentious is even more so.

– Fortune looks at how Marvel is opening its doors to women and minorities, with input from folks like Sana Amanat and Adri Cowan. Well worth a read.
