Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– On the heels of me complaining about Marvel’s collection strategies yesterday, Todd Allen wrote at the Beat about how Marvel is now selling $5 collections of popular books with lower quality paper and stapled edges at Wal Mart. Sure, they’re crappy quality, but that’s a killer price, and I love the idea of selling reasonably priced collections at big stores like that and filling them with ads for other collections. That’s the type of thing collections SHOULD be used for.
– If you didn’t get enough from our big piece on “The Multiversity” yesterday. DC unveiled their interactive version of the grand Multiverse Map yesterday.
– In case you’re wondering, this Playboy interview confirms Frank Miller is still a little bit on the crazy side, but he still has super nice things to say about comics at times! But, you know, beware opening that if you’re reading at work. Because naked.
– Matt Ward has been cast in the third season of “Arrow” as Komodo, the New 52 villain. Is it just me or is that season starting to feel pretty full up?
– Bulgarians keep defacing Soviet era monuments with spray paint to make them over to be superheroes (and Santa), and Russia wants them to stop. I say keep on keepin’ on. I dig it!
