Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.

– Speaking of TV, Jeff Smith’s “Rasl” has been optioned for a TV series at NBCUniversal. Meanwhile, Pixar’s adaptation of “Bone” still looms in the distance like an unattainable dream.
– The Hollywood Reporter reported (Hollywoodly) that BOOM! Studios has acquired the comic book license for “Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers.” The upcoming series will seemingly focus on the original team from the 1993 show and BOOM! will have one-page comics available at SDCC focusing on each individual Ranger. There will also be a dirty napkin stuck to their booth explaining what Alpha has been up to.
– NBC has released character posters of the upcoming Heroes Reborn, a TV series about the original cast of Heroes being murdered by the psychic ghost of Professor X and Magneto.
– Mark Waid’s Thrillbent Comics has announced that it will begin serializing Terry Moore’s “Strangers in Paradise.” I don’t even have a snarky joke about this. It’s kind of really great. Thrillbent could do a lot worse than helping Non-Big-Three indie comics get more exposure.
– Thor: The Dark World director Alan Taylor expressed his frustration with Marvel Studios in an interview with Uproxx about Terminator Genisys. Taylor, who replaced initial director Patty Jenkins who walked out on creative issues, mentioned that the film that came out in post was entirely different from the one he envisioned. Taylor seems to be one of the only filmmakers criticizing Marvel, a company that has had a great track record with directors.
– Peyton Reed’s Ant-Man comes to theaters July 17.
– Prince Armory has created an incredible looking set of Asgardian Iron man armor. I will put down five dollars that it becomes an unlock able costume in Contest of Champions within the next twenty minutes.
