Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.

– One of the things I am most excited for in the world of comic books is the upcoming Supergirl show on CBS. Well, the Hollywood Reporter has an article on the producers and cast talk for the show at the Television Critic’s Association’s press tour. The article is an interesting read on how the show will shape up while also revealing that General Sam Lane (father of Lois and Lucy) will be appearing on the show as will the Red Tornado and Non, a Kryptonian villain best known for teaming with Zod in Superman II.
– Over on the CW side of things, though, Arrow has added Rutina Wesley in an undisclosed role in Season Four as well as Parker Young as a love interest for Thea Queen who will be an original character to the show.
– Still on comic book TV news, CBR takes a look at some set pics of Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle on the set of Marvel’s Daredevil. While I’m getting nervous at the fact that he still isn’t sporting a skull shirt, he does look pretty damn intimidating.
– TV Line has a rundown of six major roles that have been cast for Outcast, the upcoming Cinemax series based on the comic by Robert Kirkman and Paul Azaceta.
– Hey! Finally, news about a comic book! CBR has the announcement that Fabian Nicieza and Reilly Brown will be teaming up for a new “Cable & Deadpool” series titled “Split Second”. The series will be a six issue Infinite Comics series.
– Are you hyped for X-Men: Apocalypse? I’m not, but this is a pic of (sort of) Ben Hardy as Angel from the film for those of you are hyped. Apparently, Bryan Singer’s thing for introducing characters through cage fighting is still intact 15 years later.
– Lastly, I think it’s a general consensus that Fantastic Four is a failure. Well, recently released B-Roll footage has shown us what looks like the Fantasticar that was cut from the film. While the inclusion of the Fantasticar likely wouldn’t have saved the film, it’s really interesting to me to see just what was cut from this film.
