Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.

– Steve Rolston, a comic artist noted – amongst other things – for his work with Greg Rucka on Queen & Country, was commissioned to recreate Tim Sale’s cover to the first issue. The results are pretty awesome and totally cool to see. Check it out!

– You guys, Pizza Dog takes the lead in Hawkeye #11 and CBR has a preview. I recommend checking it out.

– An adaptation of the French graphic novel “Le Bleu est Une Couleur Chaude” by Julie Maroh, titled “Blue is the Warmest Colour,” has won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival. This film (and the original comic) is a lesbian coming-of-age tale, and will be making its way to the U.S. in October, but titled as “Blue Angel.” And apparently it’s TRES dirty!
