– “Runaways” is coming back, but this ain’t your BKV/Alphona Runaways. It’s from the team of Noelle Stevenson and Sanford Greene, and it’s “Battleworld: Runaways“, which finds a cadre of young heroes in a school on Battleworld’s capital city. So far, none of them revealed team – Bucky Barnes (wut), Cloak & Dagger, Amadeus Cho, Skaar, Jubilee and a new character named Sanna – are from the original Runaways book, making this feel more like a “random young heroes” book than a “Runaways” one, but according to the editorial team at Marvel, expect those members to be revealed today. I guess we’ll find out later today, but part of me just wishes this had some other name like “Battleschool” or “Battleworld High” or something of that sort. Alas.

This piece on Bleeding Cool from Mimi Cruz, manager of Salt Lake City comic retailer Night Flight Comics, is a really interesting read, and a really good look at why the state and quality of Diamond Comic Distributors is a roadblock to the overall health of the comic industry.

– Apparently James Gunn is going to put his personal favorite hero in “Guardians of the Galaxy 2”, so get ready for someone super damn weird making the cut, I’d wager.

– Get a deeper look at Chip Zdarsky and Kagan McLeod’s “Kaptara” in this preview/interview the team did with Entertainment Weekly.

– Dean Cain and Helen Slater have been cast in undisclosed roles for the upcoming “Supergirl” show, which is a big deal because they were previously Superman and Supergirl respectively.

– Marvel.com revealed a new song by Faith No More because it’s called “Superhero” I guess?
