– Hot off the heels of Creed, it’s been announced by Marvel that Ryan Coogler will in fact be directing Black Panther. This is, in my opinion, an amazing decision as Coogler is an intensely incredible director and one of the prominent new voices in cinema and I’m now even more excited than I was for this film.
– Marvel also announced that a new comedy series is being developed at ABC that’s separate to the previously announced Damage Control series and the Most Wanted pilot that was recently ordered. What could this be about? Who knows! But I’m interested in finding out so watch this space.
– Variety has reported that Disney already has a shortlist of actors they’re testing for the role of young Han Solo. The names include Miles Teller, Dave Franco, Logan Lerman, Scott Eastwood, Ansel Elgort, Blake Jenner, and more. Apparently the reason for such an early decision is because whoever is cast will have a role in Rogue One. What do you guys think? Do any of these names interest you as a young Han Solo?
– Speaking of Star Wars, take a look at Rebels returning episode from next week which features the introduction of Leia Organa to the series.
– Finally, in an apparent attempt to include everyone ever involved in a live action Superman show, it seems that Laura Vandervoort, Smallville‘s Supergirl, will be joining CBS’ Supergirl as Indigo or Braniac-8. This should be cool.
