– Ryan Reynolds shares that unless an A-list creative force is involved with the Justice League movie, he’s not very interested in reprising his role as Green Lantern. I actually like Reynolds and don’t think he was the biggest issue of that very, very flawed Green Lantern film. As far as Hal Jordan is concerned, you could do worse than him certainly, and hopefully his hope comes true and that eventual movie gets one hell of a director, if only for our sake.

– Unsurprisingly, X-Men: Days of Future Past was SUPER expensive to make. How expensive? Enough to make it the second most expensive film 20th Century Fox has ever made, only behind Avatar. That’s a hell of a thing.

– In case you want comic about your favorite NFL players, Christos Gage and Howard Porter – admittedly a great pair – created stories for DC/Gatorade about JJ Watt and Cam Newton, both of whom I am uncertain are actually human, so they make perfect subjects for this.

– Former wrestler The Masked Man interviews cartoonist Box Brown for Grantland about his upcoming graphic novel biography about Andre the Giant, titled “Andre the Giant: Life and Legend”. It’s a great read about an exciting upcoming work.

– Hey look! There’s a deluxe edition of Fabio Moon and Gabriel Ba’s Daytripper coming out! Hot damn!

– Warren Ellis is appearing in NYC for a speaking engagement and a signing. HIDE YA KIDS, HIDE YA WIFE!

– I’m not sure what’s going on with these Marvel animal variants, but if David Petersen is drawing animals, I find it hard to resist. BEHOLD! Elk-Thor! Bear-Hulk! Bird-Cap!
