Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.

– Ever wonder which comic book writer would be the best at helping you survive the zombie apocalpse? Who hasn’t really? Thankfully, Paul Tobin is here to break down the tale of the tape. Tobin is hilarious, but this piece is particularly awesome, especially in the parts about Jack Kirby, Garth Ennis and Grant Morrison. If you click one link in this piece, make it that one.
– Graphic novelist Lucy Knisley has a great piece over at Huffington Post about how she first got into comics, and it’s a story many can relate to. It’s a really enjoyable piece about how someone falls in love with the medium, even if parents aren’t super into it, and the nostalgia associated with the way things were. The only downside? Calling “Harbinger” a Vertigo book. Poor form Lucy! Poor form!
– Usagi Yojimbo needs your help! Steam has a totally rad looking Usagi Yojimbo game, called Usagi Yojimbo: Way of the Ronin, up for voting, and it needs your support to become a reality. Help all of us who weren’t around when Commodore 64’s were big finally get a chance to make playing a Usagi Yojimbo game a reality. Up arrow that stuff!
– Want to see the most adorable blood and guts ever? Check out this Helheim #2 variant from Katie Cook. Too. Damn. CUTE.
– In comic TV news, Game of Thrones was renewed for a fourth season, and The Walking Dead achieved new highest ever ratings for the show. Both were unsurprising, and continue to show that being a nerd? So hot right now.
Hansel.
– Finally, Rick Remender clears up the to do surrounding Uncanny Avengers #5 in an interview with Newsarama. While part of me feels it’s definitely just a guy doing PR, Remender seems sincere and, in a lot of ways, was justified in his anger. No less, hopefully this closes this particular story.
