– Just days after showing off the first on-set photo of the titular character, Lionsgate’s Hellboy has been give the release date of January 11, 2019. Starring David Harbour, Ian McShane, Milla Jovoich, and Daniel Dae Kim, the film is directed by Neil Marshall, with a script by creator Mike Mignola, along with being co-written by Andrew Cosby and Christopher Golden.
– Returning to the pages of 2000 AD is Grant Morrison and Steve Yeowell’s “Zenith”, illustrated by Yeowell and written by 2000 AD‘s editor Matt Smith (under his pseudonym, Martin Howe). The newest “Zentih” story since 2002, it’s set to release September, 27th in the UK and October, 27th in the US.
– Coming from Image Comics, “Paradiso” is a collaboration between writer Ram V, artist Dev Pramanik, colorist Dearbhla Kelly, and letterer Aditya Bidikar. Inspired by Ram’s fascination with cities and what they represent, “Paradiso” tells the story of Jack Kryznan, a man who, centuries after the ominous Midnight Event, comes to Paradiso City with a device that can change the city’s destiny. The first issue is due in December.
– The story for “The Flash” #32, ‘Black Hole Rising,’ has now been pushed back to issue #34. It’s replacement, ‘Welcome to Iron Heights,’ which is about Barry Allen’s first day at the titular prison, will be wrirten by series regular Joshua William and illustrated by guest artist Christian Duce. No reason for the original story’s delay has been given.
– Described by Scott Snyder as the unofficial seventh issue of “Dark Knights: Metal,” “Batman Lost” #1 has now gone from 32 pages to 40 and has upped its price from $3.99 to $4.99. The creative team has also been reshuffled, with Joshua Williams and James Tynion IV joining Snyder on writing duties. Artists Doug Mahnke, Jamie Mendoza, Yanick Paquette, and Jorge Jimenez will replace Olivier Coipel and Bengal.
– Shaun Sipos, famous for Melrose Placeand The Vampire Daries, will have a regular role as Adam Strange in SyFy’s upcoming series Krypton. Finding himself stranded both back in time and on Krypton, Adam Strange will play mentor to Superman’s grandfather, Seg-El.
– Pretty Little Liars actor and director Chad Lowe will be soon featured on an episode of Supergirl. Playing the leader of a religious cult that worships the Girl of Steel, the fourth episode of season three, “The Faithful” will deal with wih Lowe’s character, how he helps his followers, and his commitment to the faith. But Lowe will also be directing “Wake Up”, the seventh episode of the season.
– Telltale Games has announced via Twitter that Harley Quinn will be making her Telltale debut in the next episode of Batman: The Enemy Within, coming October 3rd.
