Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.
“Probably the bigger reason [for the change] is that when we started thinking about the logistical realities of Kitty’s consciousness being sent back in time, to her younger self, as opposed to her physical body being sent back… It was impossible,” Kinberg said. “You’re talking about an actress (Ellen Page) who, in the [First Class era], would have been negative 20 years old. So we started thinking again, and the first reflex response to that was a character who doesn’t age. Wolverine is the only character who would looks the same in 1973 as he does in the future.”
Pretty hard to argue with, right?
– Also at Heat Vision, they’ve got a clip of Barry Allen’s first appearance in “Arrow” and, I can’t believe I’m going to say this, I really like the guy who plays Barry and am now very intrigued. I was fully expecting to be underwhelmed, but man, I’m into it. It seems entertaining. I’m in on the Flash TV show.
– Leonardo DiCaprio is producing a biopic of Bill Watterson. I’m trying to imagine a single person in the world who would less enjoy a biopic being made of them, but honestly, I’m having a really hard time. It’s like thousands of little Calvins are pissing on a decal of his head.
– This Amazing Spider-Man 2 triptych poster is pretty damn amazing.
– I honestly have no idea how much stock you can put in this, but a Warner Bros. producer insists that Wonder Woman and Doomsday will be in the Man of Steel sequel. So, you know, maybe that’s a thing that is happening?
– Top Shelf gave copies of “March” to Congress, which I think is totally awesome.
– Heidi McDonald at the Beat has some recommendations for readers for the PictureBox sale. Best heed her advice, ya hear?
– Star Wars now has an Instagram account, and I highly suggest you start following it if only to experience the Darth Vader selfie.
