Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– Ron Perazza’s Comic Book Think Tank asks digital comic creators their thoughts on the recent comiXology and Amazon changes, and it is a very interesting read. No one has more insight into what this could mean for Joe Q. Comic Creator than this crew, so it’s a very fascinating read if you’re into that sort of thing.
– Paste Magazine began a countdown of the top 100 comic book characters ever according to their staff, and it’s off to a strong start, although I do have to wonder if it’s suffering from a little bit of a recency bias. I mean, two “Saga” characters in the top 11 and one from “Sex Criminals” in there too? It’s a little early to tell on them, even though I love them!
– Marvel and NASA are forming one of the most unlikely comic book team-ups ever, as the two pair for a Times Square based installation that explains the science behind Marvel’s movies. Sounds totally rad, and here’s hoping it makes its way to Alaska. (I know that will never happen…)
– Vox, a newer site that is all about…well, honestly, I can’t even tell what their mission statement based off the weird mix of articles they have, talks about how Marvel is realizing straight white guys aren’t the only ones who can save the world. It’s an interesting piece, although one that seems to take a direction based off information that is only partially true (and ignoring the fact that the “All-New Ultimates” relaunch wasn’t very good). There’s another piece on Vox by the same writer about how “How Amazon and comiXology Betrayed Comic Book Readers”, so as I browse the site, I’m starting to think they MIGHT be built around sensationalism. But you know, that’s a cursory glance.
– What happens when “Guardians of the Galaxy” imagery is combined with quotes from Andy Dwyer from “Parks and Recreation”? Magic, as you’ll find if you browse “Burt Macklin of the Galaxy“.
