Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.
– Yesterdaty was the slowest of news days, so our biggest news todau is that Stephen Rider has been cast in the second season of Marvel’s Daredevil as Blake Tower. In all honesty, I had never head of Blake Tower before reading about this casting, so that just shows you how slow yesterday’s new was.
– You know how everyone hated Fant4stic? Well, the internet has kind of been on a quest to discover just “what went wrong”, probably in attempt to make some money out of a documentary in a few years time. This quest has now uncovered concept designs for what was going to be the film’s version of H.E.R.B.I.E. I have no idea how he would have fit into the film, but it’s strange seeing people suddenly starting to use cut content as a way of explaining a bad movie.
– Did you miss “The Private Eye”, the webcomic by Brian K. Vaughn and Marcos Martin on the Panel Syndicate? Well, if you don’t want to read it digitally (or for free as it’s pay what you want), then you’re in luck as later this year it’s getting a deluxe hardcover! Except it’s going to be printed in landscape, so good luck finding a place on the shelves for that one
– Ubisoft is opening a theme park in Malaysia. That’s it, that’s all I got. I don’t even know anymore, man.
– Finally, over at ComicsAlliance, there’s a great piece spotlighting the cover work by Mike Del Mundo. We’ve been a champion of Del Mundo for years here at Multiversity and we absolutely love his work so you should definitely check this one out.
