– A number of audition tapes for the upcoming Supergirl TV show have surfaced online. Characters like Jimmy Olsen, Alex Danvers, and, of course, Supergirl herself have seen sides posted online. While there isn’t a ton of information to be gleaned from these videos, the Jimmy Olsen one is a bit of a revelation, because of just how much he talks about Superman in the video. Could there be a role for Clark Kent on Supergirl?
– In a bit of relatively unprecedented news, “Atomic Robo” is going online – both in its 1000+ pages of previously published content, and all new issues, totally for free. The transition the other way is relatively common – plenty of webcomics go to print every week – but this seems to be somewhat revolutionary. How this financially impacts the creators will be a fascinating study over the next year or two.
– If, like me, you presumed that Oliver Queen was going to be tossed into a Lazarus Pit on Arrow, Stephen Amell has some bad news for you.
– Looking for more reasons to be thankful that Dan DiDio wasn’t the absolute decision maker for DC around “Infinite Crisis?” Look at his original “hit list” for the event – and then take a minute to figure out how messed up it is that DiDio looks at events as simply tools to kill off beloved characters.
– While I don’t know why they have to call her Power Girl, the new Power Girl is joining the Teen Titans book this week, and Newsarama has the preview.
– And, finally, George Lucas finally watched the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer. At this rate, he’ll finally read the Marvel #1 in 2016.
