Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.

– Apparently Entertainment Weekly has a Top 10 Graphic Novels of All-Time list in their latest lists issue, and in it, they feature a lot of the traditional picks like “Maus” and “Watchman,” but also comics like “Y the Last Man.”

While it’s a strange list, if only because it incredibly includes David Small’s good, not great “Stitches” on a list of the greatest GN’s of all time, the biggest problem I have with it is this: it refers to books like “Y” as “graphic novels.” “Y” is not a graphic novel. It’s a comic book. It may have hardcovers and trades, but originally, it was a collection of floppy issues, and I don’t like it when publications like Entertainment Weekly dress up comics as “graphic novels” as if people can’t handle them being called comics. Boo to you EW. Boo to you.

– Christian Bale on the Justice League movie: “that’s enough.” Saying they made three good movies already, Bale is out, out, out on Warner Bros. theoretical (at this point) Justice League production. Not surprising news, but good to hear Bale finally quash rumors.

– Speaking of Bale as Batman, Warner Bros. is going to releasing an Ultimate Collector’s Edition of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy, and it will be glorious if Comics Alliance’s article is to be believed. Featuring 6 discs – one Batman Begins, two Dark Knight, two Dark Knight Rises, and one of all new bonus material – an amazing sounding bonus documentary, a 48-page hardcover book featuring production shots, Hot Wheels of the various Batman vehicles (!!), and Jock/Mondo illustrated cards for the characters. It’s the real deal, Holyfield.

– Apparently Jeff Smith will be guest editing the 2013 edition of The Best American Comics, and it will feature a cover from Kate Beaton and work from Colleen Doran, Faith Erin Hicks and Terry Moore (Rachel Rising!). This is totally old news, but I didn’t know and I am excited!!
