Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.
– The Guardians of the Galaxy toys have revealed Lee Pace’s look as Ronan the Accuser, and besides a huge change from his typically very green color, it looks pretty accurate. This is a good time to mention that I love Lee Pace and think he is going to be completely awesome as Ronan.
– We missed this poster reveal, but Linework NW, a new illustration and comics festival in Portland, announced their line-up through a Michael DeForge illustrated gig poster of sorts. I just have to say, I love revealing who are guests for a comic con/festival through a poster similar to what you’d see for a music festival. Totally cool.
– People who support comics or other projects on Kickstarter: CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD. Kickstarter was hacked and personal information for you or others you know may have been taken.
– This Five Ghosts cover from Rob Guillory is totally awesome.
– Ryan Estrada takes us behind the curtain on his ComiXology Submit experience, and, well, his experience seemingly sucked something fierce (if you’re looking for something that is easy and profit inducing, that is). That said, for anyone curious enough to go through the process, Estrada provides some fantastic insight into the plusses and minuses of the experience, and it’s worth a read for all you comic creating folk out there.
– James Jean is one of the best artists around, and Hifructose takes you behind the scenes on a mural he created in Hawaii for Pow Wow Hawaii. Awesome stuff.
