Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– Jeff Lemire, speaking to the CBC, talks about a new character joining his forthcoming “Justice League Canada.” The character was inspired by 15-year old Shannen Koostachin, a Cree activist who was killed in a car accident just shy of her 16th birthday. Lemire said that representing the native population of Canada was important to him, and talks of having a contest for school kids to suggest powers for the new character. The character will debut sometime early in the book’s run, which begins in April.
– According to Bleeding Cool’s Rich Johnston, there has been talk of turning the new Charles Soule/Alberto Alburquerque book, “Letter 44” into a television series in the US. Whether this is idle speculation or something legitimate remains to be seen.
– On Twitter, our pal Declan Shalvey shared an image he created for a DC pitch. “Catwoman: Thief of Thieves” from Paul Tobin, Shalvey and Jordie Bellaire sounds pretty awesome, if you ask us.
– And finally, also, via Twitter – which Halloween costume is better? This doggie Micchone, or our own Vince Ostrowski’s Madman? Or, if you’re into cute kids and great comic creators, what about Kelly Sue DeConnick and Greg Rucka’s little girl, Dash, as dueling Captain Marvels?
