Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– Amy Reeder responds to the recent Milo Manara/Spider-Woman controversy with a little piece on the sexual portrayal of women, and how Manara’s cover doesn’t really bother her, but women not really being portrayed as people in other pieces and fiction does. Their general lack of personhood. It’s a smart and balanced piece on the subject, and I recommend it.
– Artist Carlo Pagulayan also responds to the controversy, sharing how according to 3D modeling software he uses, both Manara and Greg Land’s covers aren’t as anatomically inaccurate as some would like you to believe.
– In a scathing and hilarious tweet, Yanick Paquette helps that guy Pablo Picasso out with his terrible form in the case of women in the same way some are “correcting” Manara.
– “Wolverine and the X-Men” #10 and #11 are going to have one hellacious list of artists working on them, including but not limited to Declan Shalvey, James Harren, Robbi Rodriguez, Jason Latour, Jim Rugg, Kris Anka and who knows who else. Crazy.
– Your dreams are coming true: Funko is making a POP! toy of Dancing Groot from “Guardians of the Galaxy”.
– Speaking of “Guardians”, it reclaimed the throne in the box office and surpassed “Transformers: Age of Extinction” to become 2014’s greatest earning film in the domestic box office.
