Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.

– Over at Speed Force, they have a look at the new Reverse-Flash from yesterday’s The Flash #17. I have to say, it’s hard to distinguish exactly what is going on with that costume, but holy crap, Francis Manapul’s art is amazing. Crossing my fingers this isn’t how they bring Wally West back.

– In true awards fashion, Diamond Comics Distributors sent the world mixed signals by being awesome and naming Valiant Comics Publisher of the Year (under 4% market share) and being weird as all hell by saying DC Comics was the best for the over 4% category. With Marvel, Image and Dark Horse on the table…they name DC the best. Perplexing. Newsarama has more from the awards, including Image sweeping the “Comic Book of the Year” category.

– Previously sarcastically mentioned in a post from your’s truly and now officially announced. Scott M. Gimple was named the new showrunner of “The Walking Dead” for season four. Insert jokes about him being the new Defense of Dark Arts teacher here.

News of the day undoubtedly goes to FX renewing Archer for a fifth season. Archer is the funniest show on television by a mile, and it just keeps getting better. Did you see this past week’s episode about Archer getting bit by a snake, amongst other things? Comedy goldmine, people.

– Runner up for News of the Day, however, goes to Portland, Oregon pizza joint Handsome Pizza naming a pizza after comic artist Steve Lieber. Tomato sauce, roasted crimini mushrooms & shallots, garlic, cream, rosemary, parmesan…what’s not to like about that?

I have to go though. I’m hungry now. Catch you tomorrow on The Rundown.
