– With the news that Agent Carter is getting a second season, there has been a big push to bring more characters who aren’t white into the show. This push characterised itself as the twitter hashtag #DiversifyAgentCarter and I think it’s certainly a conversation worth having. CBR has a very interesting article on the topic that is definitely worth a read.

– Also in updates to yesterday’s news, that Lucifer TV show that FOX greenlit? Well, here’s your first trailer. If you’re going into it expecting anything like the Vertigo series, I think you’ll likely be disappointed, but outside of that? I was still pretty disappointed. Just from the trailer, this looks like a pretty generic supernatural-themed “genius character aids the police” show that seems to be the only show around nowadays, but it is just a trailer so we’ll see how it goes.

– In other TV news, here is the first look at Heroes Reborn, the 13-episode continuation to the show everyone wanted to like before it immediately just fell apart. Will this show capitalise on the promise of the first season? Or are we just going to get another second season? We’ll find out in the Fall.

– Now, this is something I would have wanted to put in Art Of The Week, but I’ll put it here instead. Evan Shaner collected all of his character sheets for “Convergence: Shazam” on his tumblr. Honestly, I could read a whole book of just his character sheets.

– Are you excited for the Deadpool movie? I’m not, but here’s a new still from the film that Ryan Reynolds used to promote the fact that he now has Instagram. Go nuts.

– Finally, ComicsAlliance ran a piece yesterday about the Comic Book Creators Guild and pay rates they recommended back in 1978 and how they compare to pay rates now. Very interesting stuff and a very interesting conversation to have.

Sworn to protect a world that hates and fears her, Alice W. Castle is a trans femme writing about comics. All things considered, it’s going surprisingly well. Ask her about the unproduced Superman films of 1990 - 2006. She can be found on various corners of the internet, but most frequently on Twitter: @alicewcastle
