Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– Neil Gaiman has answered one of the questions left lingering after last week’s announcement of DC’s film plans for the next six years: where was “The Sandman” in the announcements? Because that is a Vertigo movie, ya goof! “It’s not a DC Comics film. It’s a Vertigo film. That’s a different slate of films, and a different announcement,” said Gaiman on his blog. Does this mean that there are more Vertigo movies ready to be announced as well? “A different slate of films” seems to imply that, doesn’t it?
– Jason Momoa, the newly announced Aquaman for DC/Warner Brothers, talks about his pride in playing the character, both in respecting the water gods of his Polynesian heritage, and by being a, in his own words, “brown” superhero. Momoa seems to be pretty stoked about playing Arthur, and hopefully that infectious attitude will permeate the film.
– Rich Johnston believes that “Danger Club” is returning to Image in January – and I truly hope he is right.
– According to some leaked promotional art from, supposedly, Hot Toys, Ultron in Avengers: Age of Ultron looks to be 8 feet tall. I don’t have any strong feelings about this right now, but it sort of makes sense, I guess.
– Dennis Hopeless and Tigh Walker are working on a “Big Thunder Mountain Railroad” comic for Marvel, as part of their ‘Disney Kingdoms’ series that has previously included “Figment” and “Seekers of the Weird.” The five-part miniseries is due out in Spring 2015.
– Vinnie Jones, who, ahem, unforgettably portrayed the Juggernaut in X-Men: The Last Stand, has been cast as Brick on Arrow. Brick is a relatively minor Arrow advisory, but one that executive producer Andrew Kreisberg has written before. He is due to first appear in the tenth episode of this season.
– Greg Pak reflects on NYCC 2014, and talks about how he managed to take his own, and others’, advice, and how it led to a great con, business wise. If you have ever wondered about how creators prepare for cons, this is a must read.
– The Dissolve runs down some of the more prominent casting rumors for comics films, and somewhat handicaps the odds a bit.
– David Ayer, director of the upcoming Suicide Squad film, describes it as “a ‘Dirty Dozen’ with supervillains,” which means he’s at least read the back of a “Suicide Squad” collection.
– And, finally, the world is preparing for another My Little Pony film. Bronies of the world rejoice!
