Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.

– The Verge talks to the Private Eye team of Brian K. Vaughan and Marcos Martin about their book, their choice to release it digitally, the choose your own price point option, and much more. It’s a solid read, as BKV and Martin are consistently some of the most interesting interviews around when they get around to actually doing one.

– It seems like X-Men First Class: Days of Future Past is the least secretive comic movie ever. Actually, scratch that, it absolutely is. It seems every day there’s a new shot from the set or something shared by director Bryan Singer, and now, Bleeding Cool has images of Beast (Nicholas Hoult) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender) fighting in a little fountain. It’s a small shot, but it gives people a great look at the practical make up that Singer is using to bring Beast to life. And it looks good.

– There’s a new Batman: Black and White mini-series coming, and it features a virtual who’s who of creators, including people like Chip Kidd, Sean Murphy and Chris Samnee. The biggest stand out for me from the cast though? John Arcudi, a guy who is known as someone who rather does not enjoy superhero books. I’m interested to see how his story plays out with that in mind.

– Sooo…apparently Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is going to be adapting Archie into a live action teenage romantic comedy. I find it astounding in the huge history of Archie, this is the first time it’s happening, but alas, that is the case.
