Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.
– Ummm…apparently Superboy is the son of Superman and Lois Lane? What the fifty-two indeed.
– Little did we know, public domain character “Six-Gun Gorilla,” currently in development at Boom! by writer Si Spurrier, is apparently one hell of popular guy. Recently Bleeding Cool showed exactly how popular, as someone else developing “Gorilla” lamented Spurrier’s work. Spurrier responded with a post on his Tumblr walking people through his side of the story which, as he noted, was not a privilege given to him by BC. It’s a weird scenario, but reading Spurrier’s take clears things up quite a bit.
– Did you read Scalped? Over at CBR, they obviously did, as their Comics Should Be Good division provides one hell of a breakdown of Jason Aaron and R.M. Guera’s Vertigo series. Their timeline shows us – roughly – when and where everything that mattered in the series happened. It’s a hell of a thing, and that guy is way more dedicated than me.
– Finally, Val Kilmer reprises his role as Batman in…a really hilarious bit from “Life’s Too Short,” Kilmer’s “Willow” co-star Warwick Davis’ reality show. You should really watch this.
