Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– Stephen Amell, the Arrow to you, has been cast as Casey Jones in the upcoming sequel to last year’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turles film. Amell, no secret to playing a street level hero, will, for once, wear a mask that actually obscures his face. No costume, however, can cover up those abs. DAMN.

– Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, best known as Mr. Eko in LOST and Kurse in Thor: The Dark World, has been cast as Killer Croc in the upcoming Suicide Squad film. Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who famously left LOST because of his dislike of living on Hawaii, is quite an intense actor, and could really imbue the character with some serious physicality. He joins Will Smith, Jared Leto, and more in the film, due in 2016.

– Marvel’s upcoming Luke Cage Netflix series has an official showrunner: Cheo Hodari Coker, late of Homeland and Ray Donovan. I haven’t seen one frame of either show, so I’m a poor person to judge this decision, but let’s all hope for the best. Congrats, Cheo!

– Supposedly, the first Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer is supposed to debut ahead of Mad Max: Fury Road on May 15.

– Craig Titley, a writer on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., has been tapped to write the screenplay for the upcoming “Hoax Hunters” film adaptation.

– And, finally, Topless Robot has compiled 8 definitive creator runs for new comics fans to check out. While I don’t agree on all of them, this is a pretty nic list, and one that most fans can probably agree on.
