– Up next for DC’s connected universe of television shows is a new “Vixen” animated series set in the same universe as “The Flash” and “Arrow”. It’s a little awkward, conceptually, but this show that will be on CWSeed – The CW’s digital network – is a clever idea to expand the universe without breaking the bank. While I’m not overly fond of Vixen – I blame Brad Meltzer – she could be a really fun character for an animated series. I’m curious to see how this impacts the other two shows, but I’ll definitely check it out, especially with Marc Guggenheim (“Arrow”) overseeing the project.

– I don’t mean to overstate things, but this fan made live action teaser trailer for a “Bitch Planet” movie makes me like Kelly Sue DeConnick and Valentine de Landro’s comic at least 75% more. I love it. I love it a whole lot.

– Speaking of trailers, “iZombie” gets a trailer and it looks really, really great. Trademark Rob Thomas wit, typical amazing concept that Chris Roberson and Mike Allred put together, and an awesome cast. Yeah, I’m in.

– Henry Cavill confirmed that “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” will be one movie. Uno. Singular. I’m very thankful for that.

– Marvel vet Tom Brennan is moving over to Valiant as an associate editor. Part of his gig will be overseeing the launch of Fred Van Lente and Clayton Henry’s “Ivar, Timewalker”, but with a man of such skills involved, one has to imagine his role will expand with time.

– Ed Piskor finished his cover for the third volume of “Hip Hop Family Tree”, and believe it or not, it’s ill beyond words.

– At Image Expo, they had a preview book which featured previews for upcoming books like “Injection”, “Savior”, “No Mercy”, “Starve” and more. ComiXology has that for free right now, and I’d tell you to go read it, but I’d hope I don’t need to.
