Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.
– “We’re pretty committed through about issue #50, at this point.” That’s Scott Snyder talking about he and Greg Capullo’s plan for “Batman”, and that sound you heard yesterday was thousands of fans squealing with delight. I’m glad Scott and Greg are on for the long haul, and bravo to them for committing to a long run in this day and age.
– Awesome Kickstarter alert! Kyle Starks is back with another KS joint, this one titled “Sexcastle”, and it’s an amazing looking homage to 80’s action movies. Back that! Then, Zack Soto is bringing Study Group Comics’ Spring 2014 line to Kickstarter, and it features work by both Farel Dalrymple AND Sam Alden. Stop reading this and go order, damn you!
– Dan Slott, ever challenging his Spidey fans, pulled a fast one on those who read quickly and without looking down yesterday. No, Peter Park IS really coming back.
– I’m always late to these parties, but BaneCat is so freaking awesome. I may be a rare human who loves Bane more than cats, but this is a completely amazing mash up. Well done whoever made it.
– Finally, Honest Trailers mocks “Game of Thrones” and I enjoy it even though I love the show.
