– More “Secret Wars” related series are a comin’, as yesterday it was revealed that Jason Aaron and Michael Del Mundo are teaming up for a “Weirdworld” book that is set to launch June 3rd. It’s set to star Arkon (the villain of “Fantastic Four” and “Avengers” fame) as he tries to make his way through Weirdworld, alive and intact, which means lots and lots of fighting with all kinds of odd beasts. Sounds like a fun book, and with Aaron writing and Del Mundo on art, it’s going to be a pretty amazing one, I bet.

– Speaking of, Marvel revealed a bevy of other titles coming from “Secret Wars”, and there are some kooky ones. “X-Tinction Agenda”? “Korvac Saga”? What is happening?

– IGN spoke with Mike Colter about his upcoming “Luke Cage” series with Marvel and Netflix, and he talks about how the series will be geared for an adult audience and different from what we’ve seen from Marvel so far. Colter cites having read Cage comics and how the show will emulate the gritty feel of them. I’m not sure how I feel about that – I like it but I don’t – but it does clue us in to what we might be able to expect.

– Congrats to former Comics Alliance EIC Andy Khouri on his new gig as an editor at DC Comics.

– These Saturn Awards nominations are the weirdest list of film award nominations I’ve ever seen, although it’s a rare treat to see “Birdman” get nominated in categories with multiple comic book adaptations.

– Stephen Amell hyped up an emotional goodbye on social media, and I for one can’t wait for Laurel Lance’s death, regardless of the emotions it brought up in Amell. I’m probably wrong, but how great would that be? Laurel sucks.

– Is Marvel going to be producing less comics during “Secret Wars” than they had before it, like they’d suggested? Apparently not, Bleeding Cool suggests.
