Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– Cameron Stewart and Babs Tarr walk everyone through what parts of the Batgirl redesign they each handled on the Batgirl of Burnside Tumblr, and it’s well worth a read. I continue to love how they’re building up this book, and this is a great step.
– CBR talks with Tom Scioli about “Transformers vs. GI Joe” and how he went from quitting comics to having the biggest year of his career so fast. It’s a great interview that is worth a read.
– Alan Moore is asking people to boycott the upcoming “Hercules” film that stars The Rock because of its shoddy treatment of Steve Moore, his deceased writer friend who was hugely influential to the film. It’s a worthy argument, although it presupposes people want to see a movie about The Rock wearing a lion’s head as a hat.
– Wes Locher and Eduardo Jimenez’s “Unit 44” is continuing with another Kickstarter to fund issues #2 through #4, and it’s a book that seems super fun. Take a look and consider backing it if you’re interested.
– NPR writes about the big corporate push on comic conventions, and how as comics get increasingly mainstream, so do the conventions that celebrate them. Not exactly new school thinking, but it is interesting.
