Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– It appears that X-Men: Apocalypse will re-cast a number of the older X-Men veteran characters to younger, more First Class age appropriate roles, including Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Storm, allowing the film to set up the team seen in the first X-Men film.
– Image co-founder and, according to many of his Image pals, the “best artist” in the bunch (or so they say in the Image Revolution documentary), Marc Silvestri is going to be doing (some of the) interiors for the new Top Cow series, “The Rise of the Magi.” Silevestri has slowed down his interiors pace considerably over the last decade or so, so this is exciting news.
– Transformers: Age of Extinction has added both John Goodman and Ken Watanabe to the voice cast. Watanabe is trying to be a part of just about every geek franchise at this point – nice work, Ken.
– Gail Simone talks “Red Sonja” and how she wound up writing far more of the Dynamite series than she anticipated.
– For the final time this season, I will give props to the poster for next week’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. poster, this week by Phantom City Creative.
– Inspired by Topher Grace’s legendary prequels recut, you can watch an edit of the three Star Wars prequels in just under 3 hours. Watch it before it is taken down!
– And, finally, hear about Jim Steranko and Bob Kane slapping each other. It is better than you could possibly imagine.
