– A huge congratulations to Rob Williams and Michael Dowling – their Vertigo book, “Unfollow,” was announced as getting adapted by ABC. This is a bit unusual, as ABC is owned by Disney which, as many of you know, owns Marvel Comics, and currently broadcasts both Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter, while Vertigo is a subsidiary of DC/Warner Brothers.

– So, “JLA” is Bryan Hitch’s boutique Justice League book, telling a story that is a little bit out of sync with the regular DCU. Well, next week’s #5 is not following the story of Rao coming to Earth (as the rest of the series has been), but is rather a Martian Manhunter-centic issue that ties into the “Martian Manhunter” ongoing. The issue, co-written by Rob Williams and Matt Kindt and illustrated by Eber Ferreria and Eddy Barrows, seems incredibly out of place. My personal theory? This is an unused story from Kindt’s “Justice League of America” run that’s been repurposed by Williams and Barrows. I guess we’ll see next week.

– Here’s your daily ‘batshit Frank Miller’ update: Newsarama asks just how involved with “Dark Knight III” he really is, he drew a bonkers Wonder Woman for a South American convention program, and he wants to write a “Nancy Drew-esque” Carrie Kelly series. Wowzers.

Supergirl has cast two new male cast members: Jemm, Son of Saturn will be played by Charles Halford, and Melissa Benoist’s real-life husband, Blake Jenner, will be playing Adam Foster (?) on the series.

– Even more rumored Justice League Dark casting decisions include Monica Belluci as Madame Xanadu and Ben Mendelsohn as Anton Arcane. Once the film is officially announced, I’ll have opinions on all of this.

– Simon Kinberg is calling Legion the ‘Breaking Bad‘ of superhero shows. Mutants, bitch!

– IDW just announced “Street Fighter X GI Joe” – guess what it is? Oh, you guessed a six issue limited series by Aubrey Sitterson and Emilio Laiso? Damn, you’re good.

– Love beer? Love Darwyn Cook and Jimmy Palmiotti’s work? Well, then I’ve got a beer for you!

– When I think fun times at the theme park, I always think zombies, and am always disappointed. Maybe soon, I won’t have to be?

– Jonathan Hickman did a variant cover for a “Transformers” comic. Is this real life?

– And, finally, Stan Lee just found out that Iceman is gay – listen to him find out, and let’s all cringe together at the sad old man.
