Earlier today I posted about two more of Ed Brubaker and Mike Deodato, Jr.’s Secret Avengers team members being revealed, along with the idea that it was pairing accurately with the full roster Rich Johnston stated in his most recent Lying in the Gutters column over at Bleeding Cool. It wasn’t a done deal by any means, but it really made me think that the last two members of the team were going to be Steve Rogers and Nova.
Sure enough, Johnston made a post today revealing an ad (via Josh at LetsTalkComics.com) for the full Secret Avengers roster with those two characters filling it out. According to Johnston, there are three characters that didn’t make the cut to that promo image, but we’ll have to wait until the actual comic to get their identities (probably).
Given that this is a team that was originally thought to be covert in nature, it will be interesting to see how a man known as “The Human Rocket”, a guy that wears a heavily armed suit of armor, and an Asgardian demi-goddess not exactly known for her quiet nature will fit in with this “secret” roster. Still, with Brubaker writing and Deodato arting, I’ll be there.
