Announced by our friends at Ladykiller, the Thrilling Adventure Hour is unloading a whole boatload of awesome at New York Comic Con and all throughout New York Super Week. With two live shows planned and a multitude of panels with tons of great comic guests including Charles Soule, Gerry Duggan, Brian Michael Bendis and Ales Kot (and Ben Acker and Ben Blacker, creators/writers of “Thrilling Adventure Hour” and the duo closing out the latest iteration of “Thunderbolts”). While these events are ticketed events that you’ll have to pay for, the proceeds for these events will be donated to 826 NYC, a non-profit dedicated to encouraging creative writing NY area students as well as Housing Works which fights homelessness and AIDS in NY. You can check below for links and all that, with the panels running $10-15.

The other key piece of information slipped into the press release (well, not really slipped in — it’s literally in the first sentence) is that the Night Vale/Thrilling Adventure Hour crossover special is coming to iTunes and Bandcamp on October 1st. Like Night Vale’s previously released live specials, it’ll be a pay episode, but it’s a very funny show well worth listening to if you’re a fan of either show — or both. It’s not “canon” to either, but it does prove that crossovers can be funny if you don’t rely on the same meta jokes for roughly an hour’s worth of runtime. (Looking at you, Family Guy/Simpsons.)

Thrilling Adventure Hour’s super week in New York begins next week, because holy crap, NYCC and NYSE are next week. Crap! We’ve got work to do! For the full press release from Ladykiller, please see below.
