In case you hadn’t noticed, new TV season is upon us. Starting with Sunday and Boardwalk Empire, our televisions are about to get readily filled up with perhaps some of the best television we’ve ever seen – or the worst. But while everyone else is getting their game going now, AMC is waiting until October 31st to unveil their new horror epic: the Walking Dead, based on the Image comic book.

So since we aren’t getting any episodes any time soon, AMC has instead released an image of what the final poster is going to look like – and hoo boy, does it look good! Featuring Rick Grimes on his horse as he trudges towards Atlanta and the zombie horde that awaits him there. AMC has been great about not showing too much about what is going to happen in the series so far, with all the footage and images they’ve debuted so far really just covering the first couple issues. It’s safe to say that the viewers out there excited for the show who haven’t read the book yet are in for quite a treat.

So set your DVRs, program your TiVos, and prep your bittorrent clients – the Walking Dead is coming.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
