A couple days ago Marvel’s C.B. Cebulski that we would see a crossover between the most popular manga of the past five years, Attack on Titan, and that Spider guy. And today, we’ve finally gotten some details on the project.

According to Crunchyroll, Spidey/AoT will be published in Brutus, a Japanese pop culture magazine that has a great track record of incorporating comics into its content. The story will also feature input from Attack on Titan creator, Hajime Isayama who will draw the cover and a special sticker.
If you’re unfamiliar with Attack on Titan, know that it’s the wildly popular manga and anime set in a sort of steampunk world where humanity has been driven to near-extinction in cities surrounded by huge walls that keep the Titans, a horde of deformed human-eating giants, out. As one can imagine, from the necessity of conflict in all drama, the walls don’t work which leads to a group of teenagers led by Eren Jaeger joining the army and finding out the secrets of where the Titans came from while cutting their necks open. It’s also kind of a perfect fit for Spider-Man considering the army, called the Survey Corps, use 3D Maneuver Gear that basically turns them into violent webslingers. Also because everyone close to the main character dies a horrible death.
The (presumably) one-shot story will involve the Avengers getting into a brawl with the Female Titan on the streets of New York. Though no non-Titan characters have been confirmed, it would be a missed opportunity on the part of Brutus to not have a scene where Levi calls Iron Man a cock.
No word yet on whether or not the manga will be published outside of Japan, but the increasing number of cosplayers in Survey Corps jackets at comic conventions means there is definitely a market for this type of story. Honestly, if they just recreate the end of the first episode and have a Titan eat Aunt May in front of Peter, causing him to forget he has webs he can swing on and spend four chapters trying to ride a 3DMG harness I would find a way to buy every issue.
