Posted on our pal Adam Warrock’s site yesterday, there is now a brand new reason to get back into Magic cards. Given to him at one of his shows, the Magic the Avengering (or is it Marvel the Gathering?) custom card set is just too cool not to share with everyone.
Created by Eric aka Untested Methods, the set is a Cosmic Cube Card Set that features a wide array of Marvel Universe heroes, villains and more in what is easily the most impressive custom-made Magic deck I’ve ever seen. For those unaware, a “cube” is a pre-made deck of cards created specifically for tournament play, and the Cosmic Cube deck presented here (while ostensibly not legal for official use, for all the obvious reasons) is arranged to pretty much be a powerhouse deck in every way that counts.
And, heck, even if you don’t play Magic The Gathering (like myself), it’s kind of amazing to just sit and scroll through this deck. The amount of detail, the images used and the sheer bevy of creativity present in making this an actual, playable deck of cards makes me want to print it out and get back into Magic cards.
