Guess what we found? This may be “old news” (it probably is), but if you’re just joining us now, it look likes Langride and Samnee are getting one more Mighty Avenger story. While the main book is cancelled and ends at issue #8, 2011’s Free Comic Book Day will include a Captain America/Thor team-up issue from the Mighty Avenger duo, giving you all one more story of the book that has captured fan’s hearts so immensely.

From the fan-favorite creative team of Thor: The Mighty Avenger comes a time-twisting tale of Camelot-craziness. When mischievous Loki’s machinations throw Thor and a World War II-era Steve Rogers into King Arthur’s court, it’s an adventure neither noble Avenger will ever forget!

So while everyone is still upset about The Mighty Avenger, at least now you get this absolutely awesome looking Captain America story for free! Seriously – look at that Cap! While this is obviously a partial tool to help promote both the Thor and Captain America movies, it’s at least a very nice looking one! Consider us sold – or as sold as one can be for something that’s free.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
