Phillip Kennedy Johnson and Nic Klein are relaunching “The Incredible Hulk” this summer, with a return to the sinister vibe of the character’s first appearance that helped make “Immortal Hulk” (and several earlier runs) so successful. We are proud to reveal an exclusive first look at Klein’s cover, and the synopsis, for the second issue, due out this July.

The Mother of Horrors demands her freedom! And in order to make it happen, her most dutiful servant – a terrifying monstrosity who calls herself the Eldest – seeks to reclaim that wayward son of monsters: the Hulk himself. Now every eldritch horror and primordial being has its eyes set on the Jade Giant! Meanwhile, on their path to peace and isolation, Banner and his new friend Charlie find themselves forced to pass through an abandoned coal mining town… but when night falls, the term “ghost town” takes on a terrifying new meaning.

Thanks to Marvel for the cover, and be sure to pick up the book — either safely in a store, or digitally — when it releases July 26. Issue #1 will be released before then on June 21, while Ryan Ottley’s “Hulk” run will conclude with issue #14 next week.
