According to a recent report from Variety, the CW is developing a new show about the Titans character Raven. Not a show about the Teen Titans or even the Titans, but just Raven. Diego Guitierrez will be writing as well as executive producing the show. You might know him from the “Normal Again” episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
This is an odd move, given that the character has never really held on her own before. She always worked well in the team dynamic, but has only had her own personal series once or twice, and they were mini’s at that. The magic based character has a complex family, as her father is the demon Trigon and her various relations have caused issues for the Titans before. It’s possible that the idea here is to create a new show like Charmed or Buffy, which I suppose could make sense. It’ll just be odd to see the character not with the Titans.
