Announced yesterday on DC’s The Source, it looks like the next change-up in a long list of DC change-ups is that Marcus To will be replacing Ben Oliver on Batwing. According to an additional report at Newsarama, Oliver had been needing help in sticking to DC’s rigorous new “no late books (except Justice League)” schedule, and with Dustin Nguyen taking #8, To takes over from there.

Starting in May with issue #9, To will join the title as part of the big “Night of the Owls” crossover event. The book will see Batwing in Gotham, helping out his brothers and sisters in arms as the Court of Owls make their strike.

This will be To’s third Batman-family book to date, having illustrated most of Red Robin from DC’s previous continuity as well as the Huntress mini for its current one.

Judd Winick will remain as writer of the book.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
