This July, writer Peter Tomasi and illustrator Andy Kubert are bringing back Robin – which Robin, we don’t know – in the one-shot “Robin Rises: Omega.” The issue, an extension of the story arc, ‘Hunt for Robin’ in Tomasi and Patrick Gleason’s “Batman and…” ongoing, looks to give Batman a “new” partner for his 75th anniversary.

Tomasi said this to Hero Complex, when they implied that the titular Robin might be Damian Wayne:

Weeeeelllll, you’re making a biiiiggg assumption that it’s Damian that comes back from the dead, and in a general note I’d say that anyone coming back from the dead, be it comics or in real life, would most likely result in some changes that no one expected.

Extra letters aside, Tomasi is trying to push back against the idea that Wayne is the “new” Robin. Other popular theories have involved Carrie Kelly, “Spoiler” Stephanie Brown, and “Bluebird” Harper Row.

Tomasi also said that the one-shot will be released just a week before, and somewhat be concluded by, “Batman and…” #33, which, from the cover below, seems to suggest it is a “Batman and Justice League” issue.
