Back in December of last year, we put out a note urging comic fans to help with Tony Harris’ kickstart project Roundeye: For Love for him to put out an original graphic novel by himself. While the number was high ($60,000 bones to be precise), it did eventually pay-off after several attempts, with the book now in progress!

In an interview with Comic Book Resources, Harris reveals that Roundeye will be part of a new IDW anthology to be collected in a graphic novel later, which led to him lowering the price of the Kickstart and help pay for resources as well as the page rate for such a talented artist. The book will be about a lone Ronin who falls in love with the wrong princess and has to eventually fight for her love. This will be Harris’ first all solo work, with no additional people working on the title but him, which should – given his artistic credibility from titles like Ex Machina and Starman – prove to be quite awesome and worth the wait. He also briefly notes that War Heroes could possibly see completion by the end of the year (which I’m sure makes a fan or two happy).

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
