We already knew that a collected edition of “Century” was on its way from Top Shelf, but today they upped the ante: if you go to San Diego Comic-Con, you can get a limited edition version of the book signed and numbered by Alan Moore and Kevin O’Neill.
While Top Shelf isn’t exactly clear as to what the differences are between the regular “Century” hardcover collection you can order from them for $30 and the $50 edition at the Con, you can see the bookplate that will come with the book in the above image, which I imagine is certainly part of it. Plus, this will also be Kevin O’Neill’s first US convention in years, so if I were you I wouldn’t miss out the opportunity to shake his hand and get him to sign that copy of “Marshal Law” you’ve got in addition to “Century,” and that’s definitely a plus.
Top Shelf will have a pretty great presence at the con, from what their press release says, including two panels (one of which will be about “God is Disappointed in You” by Shannon Wheeler, which will preview the upcoming audiobook read by James Urbaniak) and signings and more. That “Century” hardcover seems like the one to keep your eye on, though; it’s not often you can grab a book with Alan Moore’s name scribbled in it anymore.
