Despite putting out a special “All-New, All-Different Marvel Previews” book, specifically published so that fans would have “no daily teasers, no scouring the Internet for multiple announcements,” here is today’s first of, what is certain to be, multiple announcements: this fall, there will be a new Hulk in a brand new series. “The Totally Awesome Hulk,” written by Greg Pak and illustrated by Frank Cho, stars a not-yet-revealed green man. ComicBook.com has an interview with the pair about this new Hulk who ‘loves’ being a raging green monster.
Multiversity’s staff has been thinking about this ever since we learned that there would be a new Hulk, and we’ve come to the conclusion that a large swath of the internet has: it is most likely Amadeus Cho. All the signs are there: he’s a Pak creation, he seems like he would rock a faux-hawk, and he would certainly revel in his powers.
However, inspired by the book’s title, the MC staff also took a shot at predicting some new bro Hulk accessories, including:
– tribal tattoo on that blacked out forearm
– purple board shorts and sandals
– a large, tricked out vaporizer with a homemade blend he calls ‘gamma radiation’ (the smoke is obviously purple)
The interview also teases a new female supporting character who has ‘never been seen in a Marvel comic’ but has important ties to the Hulk. I’m just taking a shot in the dark here, but I’m guessing the late Mrs. Thunderbolt Ross. Why not? (Also, she may have already been in comics – don’t yell at me)
What are your thoughts on this new Hulk? Do you think his favorite show is Ridiculousness? How many times has he already seen the Entourage movie? Is his favorite artist Jack Johnson or Dave Matthews Band? Answer all these and more important questions in the comments!
