Multiversity fave Tradd Moore revealed on his Tumblr that he’ll be departing “All-New Ghost Rider” with the upcoming fifth issue that closes the first arc. While this fills us with infinite sadness, as his art has been a huge reason why the book has been as good as it is, it does come with good news attached to it. Moore is leaving the book to conclude his creator-owned Luther Strode series with “The Legacy of Luther Strode” at Image with writer Justin Jordan and colorist Felipe Sobreiro.
That’s a favorite of many over here at MC, and Moore’s art is a massive reason why. His highly kinetic style takes the book’s ultra violence to another level, and without him, it just wouldn’t be the same. Sadly, neither will “All-New Ghost Rider”, but as Moore mentions, Damion Scott – an artist with stylistic influences that appear to overlap with Moore, although with a bit more Mahfood like style to it – will be taking over art duties on “Ghost Rider.”
For those that are big Robbie Reyes fans, this is certainly a sad day, but hey! Follow Tradd on over to Luther Strode. You’ll be happy you did.
