Uncanny X-Men To End In October

You thought Schism was big, didn’t you? I mean, it is X-Men’s “Civil War” and all that, right? Well, apparently it’s bigger than you thought. It’s so big that Uncanny X-Men, the flagship title, will end at 544 issues.

The story follows the split in the X-Men after a colossal fight between Cyclops and Wolverine, and apparently things really are changing forever. I suppose this means that there will probably be a huge shake-up in all of the X-Men titles as they are, with Astonishing and Adjectiveless probably also feeling a hit if not Legacy or New Mutants. As far as we know Generation Hope is still intact. And I’d also say that now Jason Aaron’s job as a Marvel Architect has been explained pretty well, because… well, no more X-Men.

As Kieron Gillen said on Twitter, “When I joined Uncanny after S.W.O.R.D. I thought “There’s no way I can get THIS cancelled”. But there are no limits to my power.”

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
